Payment & Investment 

• Please be advised that deposits of £500 are non-refundable.

• The full balance of the course is payable 14 days prior to the start of the course. If this payment has not been made within this timeframe, then you will not be able to attend the course. Once the full balance is paid or if cancellation is within 14 days of the course start date, it is subject to a 100% cancellation charge.

Cancellation charge.

• Payment for the course is non-refundable but you may be able to reschedule in accordance with the terms below.

• There will be no refunds for missed attendances at courses or workshops.

Rescheduling Courses

• If you need to reschedule your course you must give us a minimum of four weeks’ notice.

• At Sunstone Academy discretion, you may be allowed to reschedule your course within four weeks of the Course if there are extenuating circumstances such as severe illness
or bereavement. However, please note that you will be required to provide proof to the satisfaction Sunstone Academy. It is difficult to find replacement students at the last minute, so we hope you understand.

• In unforeseen circumstances, SunstoneAcademy reserves the right to reschedule courses without notice.

• If an additional training date that is booked needs to be rearranged, you need to give Sunstone Academy four weeks’ notice. If you fail to do so, then you will have to pay for the training day in any event.

Including: advanced techniques, new techniques and microblading.

Assessments and Case Studies

• You are required to complete 10 case studies within 3 – 6 months of your course date, they must be submitted to your trainer by this time, failure to do so will result in no feedback or qualification given until all case studies are complete.

Student assessments are scheduled upon completion of your case studies. You must sit your first assessment within 6 months of your course date.

• If you need to reschedule your assessment, you will need to give four weeks’ notice. Failure to give four weeks’ notice will result in a £250 charge to you regardless of whether it is your first, second or third or any other assessment attempt.

• If you fail to attend an assessment day, then you will be charged for it in any event, the sum of which is  £250.

• Your course fee includes up to twelve months support.

• If you do not take and pass your assessment within twelve months of the course, then you will be charged for additional training and support at £250 per month thereafter until you have passed your assessment.

• Your course fee will include up to three assessments attempts for that course in the event that you do not pass on the first assessment attempt. If you have not passed your third assessment, then you will have to pay for any additional assessments at £250 per assessment.

• If the student has failed three assessments and received all extra tuition available, a conversation will be held as to whether the student is capable of doing the treatment correctly and whether the learning should be terminated to avoid any additional costs to the student. Please note, no refund is payable in these circumstances.

Home Study

• You will be sent your home study ahead of the course once 75% of the course fees have been paid excluding the deposit 

£500 non refundable deposit 

You will be sent instructions on completing your infection control home study 

• Home study is vital and of upmost importance for the success of your course.

 

Tuition

• The Course costs includes the following further tuition if a student requires it, this is at the discretion of Sunstone Academy:

– 1x shadowing day at a trainers work place to watch their work

– 1x attendance on another beginners course for any days needed, theory, demos or practice on skins – practical on models would not be available as the new beginners will be doing those models but the student may watch and practice on paper and skins and receive support from the trainers addressing their weaknesses.

Insurance for Case Study Training

• Students are advised to take out student insurance upon completion of the course, we are ABT accredited and as a student of Sunstone Academy you receive 10% discount 

 

Models

• Sunstone Academy will provide models on initial beginners training.

• The student will be responsible for providing their own
models for additional training days outside of their initial training days. For example, advanced techniques, new techniques, microblading and all assessment days.

• If the student fails to provide a model when they are obliged to for a practical training day, they will be unable to complete the training day and will have to reschedule at full cost to them.

• If the student fails to provide a model when required for an assessment day, they will be unable to complete the assessment day and will be charged the sum of £250.

Accommodation

• If any students are travelling more than 60 minutes to get to the Academy, we would recommend booking local accommodation because the days are long and intense.
